Infotility Plans Deployment of GridAgents Software at Verizon Data Centers working with Innoventive Power, Con Edison, NYSERDA and the DOE

Boulder, Colorado – October 29, 2009. Infotility, Inc., provider of distributed intelligent agent software that enables utilities and communities to increase the efficiency and utilization of electric grid assets such as solar and wind power, will be deploying their GridAgents Framework software for Demand Response Control Center applications for Verizon Data Centers, partnering with Innoventive Power, as well as Con Edison, NYSERA, and the DOE.

Infotility’s GridAgents software will serve as the integration software and provide Demand Response Control Center decision support and curtailment recommendations and verification for Innoventive Power, the demand response aggregator, Con Edison network control centers, and the NYISO. Initial deployments will cover several key Verizon data centers in Con Edison’s service territory, and will be expanded across the remainder of Verizon sites later in 2010.

The initial implementation is expected to move into a demonstration and production mode in November 2009. More detailed information on this GridAgents Framework application, called the “Demand Response Control Center,” will be provided in future press releases and product materials.

David Cohen, Infotility’s CEO stated that “this configured application of our GridAgents Framework represents another step in our company’s evolution, building on the early automated demand response program work we did in California with Bank of America, Stanford Linear Accelerator, Albertsons, and other large curtailable facilities in the Bay Area. We are clearly excited that our software can now bring together automated demand response with distributed generation and other curtailment strategies based on both network contingencies and real-time price signals.”

Infotility Inc., headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, a software company founded in 2000, is the leading provider of distributed intelligent agent software that enables utilities and communities to dramatically increase the efficiency and utilization of grid assets. Its GridAgents software has specific applications on SmartGrid based energy networks used for integration of communities of renewables and distributed energy resources, microgrid management, intelligent load control and smart charging applications coordinating photovoltaics & storage, load control, and future assets such as plug-in electric vehicles.
